Item Description
A Zen by Design chair will "remind your body of its natural curvature." Each chair from Zen by Design is created with the intention of providing exceptional support and promoting perfect spinal alignment, especially important for those who meditate on a regular basis.
The Wandering Monk Chair is for those who like to have the means to meditate with them wherever they go. It provides the support that will allow for sitting on the floor comfortably for extended periods of time and folds in half for easy carrying when it's time to go.
Zen by Design was the creation of founder Al Vitaro who wanted to come up with a chair well-suited to long periods of sitting. His collection is designed to provide support, balance and freedom from the distraction of physical discomfort. "We were always taught from the great masters that a healthy spine and perfect spinal alignment are paramount to experiencing increased energy flow throughout the body," says Al.
All chairs are handcrafted in the US using the finest quality wood from managed forests and Zen by Design craftsmen are skilled in the techniques of mortice and tenon construction.
