Item Description
A special thank you to Dharmashop for donating this item. Last year when our auction coordinator saw this carpet for the first time she was especially keen on seeing it in the auction. This year, knowing how popular it was with bidders, she approached Dharmashop owner Sander Cohen again and he was once again kind enough to oblige.
This whimsical tiger cut-out carpet is made from 100% Tibetan wool. Traditionally used to cover luggage on a long journey it also makes a good meditation mat, wall hanging or distinctive throw carpet.
In addition to supplying Tibetan Buddhist ritual items Dharmashop is also "excited about helping to support Tibetan artisans living in exile". And because it is important to Dharmashop that Tibetan and Nepali people share in it's success it donates a percentage of profits to Tibetan charities. In 2003 it started the Dharmashop.com school program to build schools in rural Nepal and in 2006 joined The Tibetan Nun's Project to support ordained women living in exile.
Dimensions: 2' x 3' (approx.)
