The online portion of the 2010 Harlem Dowling Gala is now open.  The auction will run from October 12, 2010 to November 3, 2010, with the live event taking place on November 4, 2010. Proceeds go to Harlem Dowling-West Side Center.

Harlem Dowling is one of the first charitable institutions in the United States dedicated to children, and the very first to provide for “children of color”.  It was founded in 1836 as the Colored Orphan Asylum and has an amazing history.  (www.harlemdowling.org/history.htm).

Harlem Dowling Mission:

To serve and assist children and families in crisis and distress, through on-going innovative services including foster care, adoption, family support services, after school, supportive housing, mentoring, emergency food assistance and HIV/AIDS education, outreach and prevention.
