Specifically, BHIA's promotes the use, enjoyment, and awareness of the Boston Harbor Islands by creating vibrant public spaces, facilities, and programming on the islands, raising and managing the public and private resources necessary to do so. Our role is to bring the Boston Harbor Islands to life, improve the visibility and accessibility of the islands, and deliver a high quality experience that attracts visitors again and again. In doing so, we enable over 50 free public programs on the islands each summer, manage the park's marketing and branding initiatives, build capital facilities, and implement free access programs to the park. These efforts have steadily increased visitation and public interest in the islands year after year.
