Life Steps Foundation, Inc., began providing children's services in 1983 as a partnership among three mental health professionals who identified the need for in-home educational and preventive interventions as an alternative for individuals and families unwilling or unable to receive services in institutional settings. We are dedicated to assisting clients with self-advocacy in attaining the community inclusion they desire and maximizing their potential within a safe, supportive environment. The organization has evolved from a "mom-and-pop" operation based in the South Bay of Los Angeles County to an enterprise with over 290 employees serving 1,200 clients within the Southern, Northern and Central Coast areas.
