Item Description

Bearskin Neck Wharf – Rockport, Massachusetts

Locals call this building Motif No. 1

Painted from a photo and artists’s interpretation of this famous fishing shack.

Hand colored prismacolor pencil and pastel rendering of an original limited print edition of pen & ink drawings.  The rendering is individually colored by hand as to not fade over time, and uses acid free paper as well.  It is matted and framed in order to prevent smearing of the pastel and to enhance the art.

About Bob Procida – As a professional artist, I am influenced by many fine artists.

I studied art and received an Associates degree from the State University of New York at Farmingdale and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Hofstra University.  I also attended art studio classes at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.

After the Marine Corps and Vietnam, I became an art director & graphic designer in New York City doing advertising art and design.  I worked for several ad agencies and corporations on staff and as a freelancer.

I now live and work in the City of Newark, Ohio with my wife Janet Phillipps.  I still do illustrations and graphic design.  I also do portraits of people, places & pets in pastel, oil paint, acrylic and Pen & ink.

My art work is more than a picture, it is a hand crafted original work of art.
