Item Description
In this thangka of Avalokitéshvara (Skt; Chenrezik, Tib., Guanyin, Chn.) is the work of master thangka painter Ang Tsherin Sherpais. Here the central figure is seated on a lotus throne, with four arms. Two of them are holding a mala (rosary) and lotus flower. These represent wisdom and compassion. He represents complete unfabricated wakefulness (wisdom) and its dynamic aspect, compassion.
