Item Description
This charming and attractive Bluebird House is made from specifications from the North American Bluebird Society (NABS). This Bluebird House is the same type used at Red Wiggler, and it is ready to put up. All you need to do is pound the 4 foot piece of concrete rebar into the ground 2 feet, then slip the mounting pole over the rebar. You secure it to the rebar at the bottom by screwing in a screw (that keeps it from twisting in the wind).
It is constructed of furniture grade plywood, and painted to preserve the wood in ‘bluebird blue’. It comes complete with mounting pole, galvanized metal predator guards, and reprints of NABS Factsheets:

Bluebird habitat loss has been exacerbated over the years by land being cleared for housing, commercial developments and highways. Wooden fence posts, which used to proved natural nesting sites have been replaced with metal posts. Even though Bluebird populations have decreased, their future can still be promising if we provide nesting sites!
