2012 Highwayman Proprietary Red

Well it looks a bit different—but trust us—this vintage is as good or even better than the past five. Our Proprietary Red Blend shines from start to finish with a nose of dark cherry and bark then hits the front and mid-palate with enormity of blackberry preserves, yet remains austere through the finish by way of cedar-like oak notes and a touch of pencil shaving. Supported by some good tannins, this strong, brooding bottle will handle cellaring with ease. By all means, drink now, but cellaring will only allow you to open it for that special occasion the Highwayman warrants.

2012 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Always a customer favorite—with good reason. There's a bit of blackberry here and some cocoa there that come together to provide an absolute lush mouthfeel all over. The tannins are present, but take a backstage position to the smooth entrance and mid-palate, sliding into a finish that doesn't leave the party early. Drink now or hold until 2022.

2012 Reserve Cabernet Franc

This is an austere beauty with eclectic notes. Often referred to as the feminine side of Cabernet Sauvignon, it exudes an elegant strength from start to finish. It displays a rich hue and nose of tobacco and cassis, while delivering the punch with plum, blackberry and forest floor. It’ll be gone before you know it! Drink now or hold until 2020.

2013 Reserve Syrah

This aromatic Syrah is deep black raspberry in color, with notes of boysenberry jam and pomegranate with a hint of toasty oak. The mid and back palates present a chewy, refined presentation of seamless tannins. All combined--this small batch wine over delivers yet again. Enjoy with grilled duck breast topped with ginger-plum compote or a Moroccan inspired lamb stew.    

2013 Reserve Chardonnay

From year to year, this release just keeps evolving into what has become a harmonious balance of fruit, minerality, and toasty oak. From the small Catarina Block of the Sangiacomo Vineyards, these grapes offered up some of the best quality we've seen in some years.  An incredible foodies wine or a sipper's delight, this is "impress your friends" wine. Only 175 cases produced.
