About the Marblehead Festival of Arts

The Marblehead Festival of Arts (MFoA) was established to promote and foster artistic events and activities in the town of Marblehead, Massachusetts, by producing an annual Arts Festival over the July 4th holiday weekend. The MFoA has a rich history of producing a premier summer arts festival that has become a unique forum for artistic expression. Last year the MFoA celebrated its 50th year and was named the Best of the North Shore 2015 Editors’ Choice for Best Arts Festival.

The MFoA is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization comprising more than forty committees and involving several hundred volunteers. Today, the MFoA operates year-round to produce and collaborate on many programs in addition to the annual Festival, thereby contributing to the development of other community organizations and arts projects. All MFoA exhibits and activities are free and open to the public. The MFoA relies solely on donations and fundraising events to finance its operations.
